Today I caught up with 3 girlfriends for brunch - one which I have known since the start of high school, one since I started primary school and the other who I also lived in the same street in as a child (30 years). As we were chatting away, totally at different places in our lives - it struck me that it is quite amazing to have these long-term friendships. In fact most of my friends are long-term people from primary or secondary school (25 years+). Although we are all still busy with our own lives, work, kids, moving to different houses etc. we have all made the effort to keep in touch. I have made new friends too - those people I actually have more in common with NOW but it is nice to have those links and friendships from school and childhood.

I missed you!!!! glad to see that you are back and that things are feeling alot better for you. Friends are so important and it is nice to know that even with our busy lives that they are still around when we need them.

Hi Lou......those long term friends are precious aren't they.....I have 3 friends like that and when we catch up...we just talk away as if nothing has changed.....just start yapping away....I'm having dinner on Friday night with one such friend in PAYNESVILLE.....YEP....meeting at the Chinese in for dinner....Kay owns a house on RAYMOND ISLAND....so we try and catch up when we are both down there.
